SCIP partners with schools and community behavioral health agencies across Nebraska to address the difficulties students may be experiencing. SCIP is a program focused on providing support and assistance to families in need, ensuring all youth have access to the appropriate services. SCIP offers monthly newsletters and community resources. There are a number of internet service providers in Lincoln. The three providers that contacted Lincoln Public Schools to apprise us of special offers or considerations for families of Lincoln Public Schools students include: Allo Communications – Imperial, NE, Spectrum – Stamford, CT, and Windstream – Little Rock, AR.
Applications for state assistance (SNAP benefits, Medicaid, childcare subsidy, emergency assistance, general assistance and ADC) can be found HERE.
School social workers strive to connect the school, home, and community to support students. They assist with metnal health, behavioral and attendance concerns as well as other barriers to success.
